HNTB has a co-op position available for Spring/Summer 2018 in the Transportation Group of our Philadelphia, PA office for a Drexel Co-op student studying Civil Engineering.

Under close supervision, assists assigned department(s) and/or project(s) by performing basic engineering-related tasks which may reflect elements of standard post-secondary engineering curriculum, usually on a part-time, temporary, or co-op basis.
We’re looking for a co-op to join our transportation team to assist with the design of roadway, traffic, and water related aspects of projects. The co-op will receive one on one guidance from engineers as they assist with design and the preparation of construction plans. This position is based in a professional office environment, with occasional field work. Our transportation team’s notable projects include the following: Schuylkill River Trail Pedestrian Bridge over CSX (Philadelphia, PA); Reconfiguration of the Pennypack Circle/Holme Ave (Philadelphia, PA); and I-83 Interstate Widening (Harrisburg, PA).
Aspects of the position include:
High School Diploma/GED or equivalent plus current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program

Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
